Our punchy reviewers like Century The Original Wavemaster punching bag because it is fairly inexpensive and versatile. Fill it with water or sand and punch away. However, the bag is quite heavy and needs to be placed on a sturdy surface, preferably cement as it is free standing. Set up is easy and, for those starting out or intermediate, the bag holds up well. For those more advanced, the Century The Original Wavemaster may not be heavyweight enough so be sure to check with the sales rep about your needs before buying. Don't forget gloves!  I love to box. This came as quite a surprise to me a few years ago, but there you have it. After working with a personal trainer who showed me how to box properly, I decided to buy a bag for myself and chose the Century Original Wavemaster bag for home use.

I don't recommend this unless you won't be hitting with force.

I am not inpressed with the Wavemaster. Even the kids in my class can move this bag when they kick it. The base is not strong enough for a man to kick at all. I am a woman and when I kick the Wavemaster I can feel the core of the bag. The padding is not enough. One of the men in class cracked the base... review »

overall this is a good cheap replacment for a heavy bag

this bag is a great solution to those of you just starting out if you have no place to hang a heavy bag it is a cheap bag and works good if you are limited to hanging space esspecially in the winter time if your bag is outside...the only problem i had wa an occasional drip of water on the ground i suggest using sand it is heavier and doesnt leek

I started using the wavemaster a few years ago in a cardio kickboxing class. My husband bought me one when I had moved from the area and I love it. I've had it for 4years now and the material hasn't broken down and the shape is still there. It has held up great and makes it so easy to kickbox whenever I want!

I AM A PERSONAL TRAINER, THEREFORE, I HAVE A WIDE VARIETY OF EXERCISE EQUIPMENT.  THIS HAS TO ONE OF MY FAVORITES.  IT'S A GREAT WORKOUT, PLUS IT DEFINITELY HELPS RELIEVE STRESS -- JUST KEEP ON PUNCHING IT.
