    Anyone that has an air compressor knows the importance of a good hose. One that is strong yet flexible. It must be oil and abrasion resistant and able to withstand high pressure.

    About the hose

    When you buy most air compressors they come with a hose, but 90% of them give you the cheapest hose they can. Usually that means a hose made of pvc (polyvinyl-chloride) or in layman's terms, they give you a plastic hose. These hoses are made of seamless industrial grade rubber and reinforced with high tensile nylon. The fittings are 1/4"npt which is the standard size for air compressors and air tools.

    My experience

    I bought this hose because as I stated above my compressor came with the cheap pvc hose and was a pain in the you know where. I tried to coil it and it just laughed at me. So I went to Harbor Freight and got me a better hose. It coils very easy and has a working pressure of 200 psi. My compressor is only rated at 155psi, so this does the job and its always better to have hose rated higher than your compressor (its a safety thing). Being made of rubber also allows a better grip than a pvc hose.

    Bottom line

    I realize that this may be a brand you are not used to seeing but it is less expensive than the BIG name brands. Also remember they have to conform to the same quality standards as everyone else. These hoses come in different lengths so there is one to fit your needs. I have 2 of these 25' hoses and the workmanship is the same as the others. A friend of mine is a professional mechanic and he was impressed with the quality, he even went and bought a few of these for his garage. At a price that is about 1/2 of the BIG names it is a Great buy. I got this hose at Harbor Freight for $7.99
