A manual lug wrench is great when its all you have, now imagine your a Redneck Nascar Fan. For us we prefer the rapid spin and air escaping sound of an Air Impact Wrench! I would never be able to change 4 tires in 14.2 seconds but the thrill is still there.

Central Pneumatic 1/2" Air Impact Wrench

I have used this many times in the last 6 months and I don't want to go back to a manual lug wrench ever again. This impact will use 5cfm @90psi., has a capacity of 250ft.lbs., and spins at up to 7,000 rpms! It uses the normal 1/4" npt fittings from a 3/8" air hose and has a very easy to reach reverse button. The impact wrench weighs in at about 6lbs. and is a heavy duty air tool.

Even with my drawbacks as far as nerve damage goes I can hold it comfortably for the short time I need to use it (about 2 minutes per wheel) It has never bogged down even on my truck lugs and removes them with ease. As with any air tool you put 2 drops of air tool oil into the air inlet before each use, then when your done wipe the case down before storing it.

Central Pneumatics makes a great Impact Wrench for the homeowner users and it works as well as a professional model costing up to 3 times more. A friend of mine works as a mechanic for a living and he was impressed with it. That tells me I made a good choice and that even a Redneck can make a good buying choice once in a while.

Bottom Line

If you are in need of any Air Tool then Central Pneumatic is a good choice to look at when you compare what you need and want in an air tool. They have several models to choose from mine is Item# 95310 from Harbor Freight!

Sooooo, if it's an "impact wrench" then I assume a good redneck could use it to drive nails. ;-)

Every homeowner needs an air compressor and air tools. :>
