Reviewers point out many good reasons to like Central Michigan University, like its great professors and beautiful campus. They also like the size of Central Michigan University. It ranks among the larger state universities in Michigan, but its size is not too large or too small, allowing for great educational experiences along with plenty of opportunities to socialize. Central Michigan University is a “Great State School, Friendly Atmosphere” and a “Great School, Small Town Environment”. The fact that Central Michigan University is located in a smaller city could make it less suitable to those students who prefer a big town for work and play, but Central Michigan University is still a highly regarded College/University with many great reasons to consider attending it for a solid educational experience.

Great if you are looking to party

a serious student, serious student, a good test taker, paying for school

Central was the second institute of higher education that I attended, the first being Oakland University. In comparision, Central had much more of a social scene than OU could ever have. There was always an activity going on, or a party to be found. Academically, OU kicked Central's butt. The classes at Central were not nearly as challenging, or as useful. The class size was much larger, and the professors didn't seem to care. I'm a serious student and had issues with some of the policies at Central. The dorms were nice and the cafeteria food okay. These were the best years of my life!

I only was at Central for two years, but I enjoyed it thoroughly! I stayed there the summers also, and worked, but played more! Those were the days you could live on $2.50 per hour, 4 or 5 hours a day! I had to leave to do student teaching, but if I could have, I would have stayed, and maybe still be there.
