AT&T (formerly Cingular)
I have been with AT & T since the days of Cingular was their cell phone carrier. I even go back to the old phone bag days. So we have a good relationship, one that I have only thought of changing, but never have. At one time they had poor coverage in cell towers and my roaming fees were killing me, but I never changed. I moved a couple of times over the years and with each move my service stayed the same, the price was usually the same also. The price is good $50 and thats it, no taxes! cool, but if you love texting this company is NOT for you. They take long to get and receive. If you want it for talking its cool, reception is ok.
MetroPCS
I have been using MetroPCS cell service for over a year and have had excellent coverage. The reason the service suits my needs is that I do not require much long-distance. I do not text. I do not access the internet via my cell phone. My cell phone is my only telephone service. I do not have a ground-line.
The ways the company gouges you is in long-distance minutes you buy in advance, internet access, 411 information calls, text messaging, roaming minutes, pre-paid, of course and downloadable ring-tones.
Another down-side to this company is that they seem to recirculate their phone numbers...

VIRGIN MOBILE WAS MY CARRIER FOR OVER 3 YEARS THERE SERVICE IS VERY RELIABLE AND THERE PHONES ARE WONDERFUL.THE ONLY TROUBLE I HAD WIH THEM ARE THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS THEY ARE VERY HARD TO UNDERSTAND AND THEY CSNNOT UNDERSTASND CERTAIN THINGS THATY WE AS CUSTOMERS ASK IT GETS TO BE VERY IRRATATING I WAS HUNG U ON LIKE 6 TIMES BUT EVENTUALLY GOT THROUGH TO SOMEONE BUT THERE SERVICE IS WONDERFUL
