A few words of caution. If you're a grammatical purist or are horrified by misspellings, then this is not the book for you. If you are looking for juicy gossip or explicit details about the infamous "Rosie feuds," then you'll be disappointed in this book as well. However, if…

Celebrity Detox: The Fame Game — by — Rosie O'Donnell — I'll admit it...every now and then, I like to hear some celebrity gossip. I, especially, like to listen when celebrities dish on each other. I thought that's what I was getting with Celebrity Detox,…

After all the publicity on Rosie O'Donnel's Celebrity Detox I broke down and bought it. I am curious by nature and love celebrity gossip. — This book was petty and there was not anything that I had not already heard in it. — Don't waste your time or money. — …

I picked up this book because I really like Rosie. And,like everyone else, I was hoping to get the scoop on what really happened while she was on "The View". We all wanted to know about the behind-the-scenes action. We also wanted to know just what exactly happened to turn Rosie from "one of the girls" to one who was on the outside looking in. Unfortunately, this book does not give us those insights. I have been on Rosie's website and this book reads much like her blogs. So if you were looking for the gossip from the "The View" this is not the place to…

non-fiction reader, read for fun, a fan of quick, page turning books
I was very excited about getting this book. I raced to the book store to purchase it. I had kept hearing all sorts of things about it on the news. I was a big Rosie fan and had felt she had been treated unfairly. I guess i just don't get her after reading it. I don't understand her blogs and I don't understand why she makes a big deal about Barbara Streisand and Barbara Walters. She is so negative and I guess the only part I enjoyed was the Donald Trump part. I could feel her pain there. I found the book boring and kept waiting for it to get exciting. I think it was more of healing for Rosie…

read for fun, non-fiction reader
i bought this book because I love reading biographies and I also am addicted to celebreality for some strange reason. I got maybe 3 chapters in and was bored out of my mind with this book. I don't like the way Rosie writes (which would explain why i never read her blog either). My husband, who will read just about anything couldn't even finish it as it could not hold his attention one bit. I guess if you are a big fan of hers it could be a good read, but I would not personally recommend this one to anyone I know.…

I think it's another cry for help and attention from rosie. I was a fan for a long time and now I'm saddened and disappointed by her "cries" for help or whatever they are. If rosie isn't getting the reaction she wants then she will do whatever she wants to create it, hence this book. — — What happened to the person who was out there helping others and doing good? — — She needs to retire and take care of her family and stick to what she knows, her blog. —…

I read the last Rosie book and couldn't wait to read this one. Seemed mostly about Rosie and Barbara. There were some good behind the scenes stories about The View but all in all I found the content hard to follow - many way out ideas of Rosies that I just couldn't follow. Not sure I would recommend as a great biography. Although I like Rosie and what she stands for and her dedication to causes, I have read much…

The book was interesting but hard to follow. It really didn't tell you much about any one subject. There were some interesting things about Rosie and Barbara, and Rosie's view on fame but it really didn't tell what happened in the year before or after the View that would explain Rosie's behavior in my opinion. I'm a huge Rosie fan and was extremely disappointed. I thought the book would be more thoughtful and…

The book was poorly written and hard to understand. If I were a celebrity I would avoid this woman at all cost. I believe there is a good person somewhere deep inside Rosie just waiting to come out. She is quite honest with some of her childhood bad habits. I borrowed this book and I am glad I did not spend the time or money to purchase it. —…
