I travelled the European meditteranean route and have never been so disappointed by a cruise line. Celebrity is worse than  a bad camp, the food was caferteria style bad from breakfast to dinner-then the service gets dicey. At one point I had to laugh and just know one day I would write about my experiences on that cruise and laugh again. Everyday there was an actual line to complain at the purser's and the  director's desk's, and people were yelling at them. And at dinner one night, my tablemates got a dirty glass that was caked with(get this-yuck!) dried on milk. They never returned to the fine dining only one more time, instead feeling safer with the food you have to pay additional for. Our waiter's assistant wouldn't serve one of my tablemates coffee whenever she asked. But anyone else at the table could order it- at first we assumed he was joking, but we had communication issues, and never resolved it. The other tablemates simply yelled and got the maitre'd involved until they also stopped coming to dinner. This boat was scheduled to go back to it's regular route in the Carribean, and be renovated after our sailing(perhaps that's why it was a great deal price-wise?).

This was my fifth cruise line, and I'll absolutely cruise again, just NOT ever with this company. my travel- mates and I were going to write to the company lengthy letters and complain, but we decided to simply let our wallets do the talking instead. I was also disappointed that almost every port in the western European cities we travlled to (Barcelona-Ibiza) was not close to the port and we either had to pay for the excursion $80+, or travel by bus, train.etc for at least an hour, to get to the advertised city(Rome, Valencia). Overall I think Europe by train is a better idea to be closer to the atcion. The food was ok and the service the same......the entertainment was atrocious! think C level Reno acts and you're getting warmer. The internet was $20 a 15 minute session-we ended up needing prescriptions replaced and it cost us sooo much to call, email, etc. The staff was helpful in giving info on our next ports to send info to, and luckily, meds are very cheap in Europe, so they were replaced easily.
