Caterpillar Revolver Steel-toe has become our boot of choice beginning three years ago, when my husband entered the construction industry. He needed a boot that could withstand the wear he inflicts on his shoes and a pull-on boot that he could take on and off quickly when going to a meeting.
The Caterpillar Revolver Steel-toe was one of many he tried on and decided the comfort and ease to take on and off sold him on the purchase. However, there were many other incentives to purchasing this boot.
The Steel-toe feature was an additionally positive for safety reasons as he works in an environment where steel-toe protection is a must.
Also, the boot has a sole made of slip-resistant materials which is also good if they are worn somewhere where there may be an oil spill. The sole is made to keep traction even in very slippery conditions. He attests that the boots also created a grip on icy surfaces, although the boot is not made specifically for icy conditions.
Another safety feature of the Revolver is the electrical protection. The boot is constructed to protect against 600 volt open circuits.
The boot is durable enough to last a year with the wear my husband puts upon them. We have tried other brands and were replacing them within six to eight months. The brand has proved to be the most durable for a construction work situation. He is very hard on his boots.
As a wife, I appreciate the ease of removal of the boot. He no longer complains about having to take his muddy, oil covered, dirty boots off when coming into the house. The ease of the pull-on feature, in my eyes, is priceless.
