Caswell-Massey has some of the most delightful and high-quality products to be found. This lotion is excellent as well. The fragrance is a little strong but I am sensitive to fragrance. So I use it sparingly. Their prices are fair, I suppose, I am frugal and will never understand why most things need to cost so much. Yes, the company needs to make a profit and yes, the workers need to receive a fair wage but really, most of the time we are paying for the name and for their publicity costs. But I don't mind if it's something that's truly worth it, which this one is. The packaging is lovely, their customer service area is polite and helpful. Take the time to look at their online site and discover the scented world of Caswell-Massey: their soaps and lotions, shampoos and hair products. Personal care products that are a little out of the ordinary, never cheap-smelling or unpleasant and usually worth every penny you pay for them.

Caswell-Massey's Damask Rose Body Lotion is my very favorite moisturizer of all time. I have very dry skin and need to apply lotion ever day (well, twice a day- morning and night). So you can imagine that I've tried a lot of different lotions. This is by far my favoirte. It has a wonderful rose scent. Don't be fooled by all the "rose" lotions on the market, most of them smell like some aweful imitation of a rose, but this smells like the real thing. And the lotion itself is fantastinc. It is rich and creamy but leaves absolutely no residue. It leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturized without any stickiness what so ever. However, there are a few disadvantages: 1) it is quite pricy... so you should stock up when there are sales. 2) Caswell-Massey keeps trying to discontinue it (thankfully they have always brought it back after a few months). 3) it is really too thick to be in the bottle that they put it in- so you have to cut open the bottle to get the last of the lotion. But despite these drawbacks I highly recommend you try this product... but be warned you might never be happy with any other lotion again.
