Castleberry's Hot Dog Chili Sauce (Original)

Comments about Castleberry's Hot Dog Chili Sauce - Original:

Castleberry's American Originals Hot Dog Chili Sauce Classic is the complete name on this 10 ounce can. This is a good tasting chili for you hot dog and you can just open the can and warm up. Covering the hot dog with as much chili as you like, this warms you up inside a bit as you take those first bites.

This chili sauce by Castleberry's has been a favorite of mine for years. My hot dog roll holds it in fairly nicely so you can get tasting both the hot dog and chili all in one bite. The beans are crushed in the making of this chili so you won't be getting any large chunks like that.

Great for a quick fix meal!

Comments about Castleberry's Hot Dog Chili Sauce - Original:

I usually have a few cans of this chili sauce on hand.  When my grandsons are around and want something quick to eat, I open a can or two, pour it into a sauce pan, and add some hotdogs right in the chili sauce.  I poke a few small holes in the hotdogs, and heat the mixture up completely, so the hotdogs are plenty hot.  Poking the holes in them, seems to help the flavor of the chili sauce go into the dogs.  Put a little mustard on a bun, add the dogs, chili sauce, onions, and grated cheddar cheese...the kids love it!  Can be a little sloppy, so may want to serve with plenty of napkins and a fork.
