Do you use a rinse agent in your dishwasher? Or do you have a dishwasher detergent that has it built in? Since my brand of dishwasher detergent varies some, a good rinse aid on hand is needed. That's why I picked up Cascade Crystal Clear Rinse Agent. But I'm not exactly convinced of it's effectiveness. It seems to do a good job, but then again I don't really have a problem with spots or stuck on dirty dishes after I run the dishwasher. So, how can I tell if it's really working? I can say that my dishwasher seems cleaner when I use Cascade Crystal Clear Rinse Agent. And maybe that is the biggest difference of all. You avoid that awful smell in your dishwasher and your dishes are clean. I'm still not convinced they dry faster either, but I can tell that sometimes Cascade Crystal Clear Rinse Agent makes a difference if I have been a little lazy with the dishes before I put them in. I'm not overwhelmed by Cascade Crystal Clear Rinse Agent, but it does seem to be effective on certain dishwasher problems, most of the time.

My dishwasher has the reservoir for a rinse agent, so I've been filling it ever since we bought it. The current bottle is Cascade Crystal Clear Rinse Agent. So, I faithfully keep the dispenser filled and the rinse seems to last quite a long time, so I'm not sure how much gets used each time the dish washer is run, but mine is run daily. Anyway, I have some nasty whitish residue that is particularly gross on my wine glasses, and I'm thinking, "Isn't this what the rinse agent is supposed to be preventing?!?" So, now I'm wondering if it is doing anything and whether it is worth it. My go to person - Mom - told me she has NEVER used it in her dishwasher, so I confess, I don't know what to think. My plan is to use up this bottle, then see if I notice any difference and go from there. Hmmmm....
