Hidden gem in the theater district

This is a beautiful, quiet 4 star (out of 5) hotel in the very heart of the theater district. The hotel is very tastefully and beautifully decorated in Moroccan motif with hand woven tapestries on the walls throughout. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, our carpeting smelled from a previous guest's vomit which we did not discover until it was re-activated by steam from a hot shower. There was no other room available, and the staff wrote off our minibar bill as compensation. The rooms were spacious. The bathroom lacks counter space (to lay out toiletry bags), a personal bugaboo. Breakfast buffet was included in the bill with ample, fair quality (at best) pastries. Nearly everything one could want to see in Manhattan was within reasonable walking distance.
