I am not usually into name brands for kids clothes, if it is cute and functional and the price is right, I buy it. But I really have found that Carters consistently makes great kids clothes. I have never had a problem with anything falling apart, and I find the sizing to be perfect and a tad generous.
I have used several brands of onsies, but these are the best. The snaps are bigger and work better. I hate fumbling with little snaps! Also the crotch seam that the snaps are sewn into are reinforced. On most other brands this area is not as thick and the snaps can pull out(rip out) of the cloth. The seams are stitched nicely, too. I really like the onesies with no big tag hanging out that can irritate babies neck.
These wash well, maintaining their shape and size. The variety is amazing and always updating. And I have found these in TJMaxx for a fraction of the cost you'd pay at JC Penny. I am fortunate enough to live close to an outlet so I can get great prices anytime.
Of all the things to think about when having a baby, onesies don't seem like that big of a deal. But it really helps to have these and not worry about snapping, ripping or shrinking. And to know your baby will be comfy!
