Most HelpfulThis was my first cruise so I don't anything to compare it with except for a regular timeshared vacation. For the money you get a lot. Lots of food you will never starve. The dining room experience is a must. Not only is the food good but you can order as anything off the menu as much as you...

Most HelpfulThis was the first cruise my wife and I have taken. The ship was comfortable, our room was quite nice. Small, but enough storage, great deck and view and a comfortable king size bed. Plenty roomy bathroom also.
We were on a charter cruise, so not sure if the food varied from normal, but it was generally bad. Reminded me of Air Force mess hall food to a large extent. The dining room food was best, but even it was generally no more than OK.
Service in the public areas was quite good. Room service for meals was good also. General service from our room steward was not good.
The cruise was...
The weather was wonderful....but Canada was cold and dreary....may have just been a fluke day
The cruise director was really outstanding....put together a great show with the passengers...very funny
The activities on deck were fun - there was a contest for the Sexiest Man....it was hilarious!
In March 2009 I cruised the Carnival Victory to the Southern Caribbean. For the most part the cruise was average. I have been on two other Carnival cruises and in my opinion the food was not as good as previous cruises, plus our server was really bad. It seemed like Carnival was skimping on the little things such as no longer serving fruit punch in the buffet area, charging for hand brewed cappacino, not from a machine, at breakfast, and charging more for both soft drinks and mixed drinks. The entertainment was not as good as prior cruises.
I was told the Victory had recently been refurbished. ...
review »In February of 2009, my husband and I met up with 3 other couples in San Juan to go on the Carnival Victory for a 7 day cruise!! It was amazing. We met another couple the first day we were there and hung out with them every chance we had. We went on the Southern Caribben cruise and it stopped at a different island every day! When I booked it, I thought I would be exhausted because we would be busy every day. Well, we decided to do some active things and other days we relaxed on the beach. I would go on this cruise again if I could. There is so much to do and see and if we did do it...
review »We were on the Carnival Victory in a balcony room on Lido deck for a 7 day western Caribbean cruise. My sister went with us (so three in a cabin) and there was plenty of room. It was great in the morning getting room service and sitting on the balcony watching the sun come up. The shows were very entertaining in the evenings. The food was great. Our waiters were fantastic. In fact my husband was sick one night and our waiter left the dining room and took soup to him (at the risk of his job). He was highly tipped for that! The ship is great. Embarkation and debarkation went very...
review »My husband and I went on our first cruise and the Carnival Victory was alot of fun. There was ALOT of food, but the quality of the food wasn't that great. I also didn't like the fact that we had to pay for soda. The staff was very friendly and there was a great art auction on the cruise.
