Most HelpfulWhen my husband and I were planning our honeymoon, we knew we wanted a go-big-or-go-home honeymoon because we were going to start a family shortly after and knew we wouldn't have the chance to travel like we'd want to once that happened. We planned a 7 night, 8 day Carnival Cruise to the Mexican Riviera...

Most HelpfulThis was a great cruise. I've been told by several that Carnival is "the fun ship" and that it's mostly tailored to young adults and singles. This is a myth. Carnival has attractions for everyone. We didn't bring our kids with us on this trip, but my wife and I met several families during the course of the cruise whose kids were part of the kids camp -- it got rave reviews.
The ports of call are Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, and Cabo San Lucas -- great variety of different places along the Western Mexico coast. The cruise staff, especially the cruise director, was very good about supplying a very...
review »As a first time cruiser, I didn't know what to expect initially. Here are a list of my pros and cons I experienced on this cruise:
Pros:
The all-inclusive aspect was great. Don't have to worry about food, transportation, lodging, entertainment costs while on the ship.
Staff on the Pride were excellent. Courteous room stewards and very attentive dining staff.
Good dining selections and overall food quality ranged from pretty good to excellent.
Port locations were all fun, my advice would be to save money by not booking excursions through Carnival. Look into smaller businesses who advertise...
review »My husband and I traveled on the Carnival Pride in July 2007 to the mexican riviera. It was my second and his first. The total experiece was great, but lets start from the begining. Max, our phone/internet agent was very well educated, patient, friendly and provided wonderful service while booking our trip.
Apon arriving at the boarding station the car and security representatives were frustrating to deal with: a bit rude and impatient. To credit Carnival, I believe these people are third party vendors not representing Carnival. This was the only bad experience of the whole trip.
Once in the...
review »Carnival does not compete with Holland America and Cunard for their type of passenger, but having enjoyed numerous HAL cruises my wife and I dared each other to cruise on Carnival.
Having done that, we have continued to be pleased at the excellent experiences onboard Carnival ships - Liberty, Spirit, and Valor before Pride.
The Pride is a wonderful ship, with public areas that seem to facilitate traffic flow very well. The decor is, well, Carnival - with all of the neon and glitz that this entails. However, in our experience, no competitor in their price range [NCL/Royal Caribbean] provides...
review »I went on my first cruise on the Carnival Pride. It was like living on a my own fantasy island. Everyone was very kind, helpful and very pleasant. The service was excellent. The choices of activities was....well let's just say I could of spent all my time on the ship without any land excursions. Every bathroom was spotless, the cabin was spotless...even had little towel animals and mints on my bed. I didn't want to leave. I would recomment Carnival Cruises to everyone.
