Most HelpfulThis was our fourth cruise (second with Carnival) so we had some high expectations and we were not let down! The food was stellar, but I would have liked to have had lobster for both fancy-dress-up nights - not just the first night (I know - picky!).
The photos are always pricey to buy, but I thought...

Most HelpfulMy husband calls this the cruise from hell. There were 3 of us traveling with a group of 51 people. We were some of the first to pay for the cruise (paid in spring, cruise was October-November). We did not get our tickets and room location until 2 weeks before sailing date. We were placed in a room on bottom level while the rest of our group all had rooms on the 5th and 7th level. I immediately complained. The travel agent said nothing could be done and blamed it on Carnival. Carnival blamed it on the travel agent. When we got on the ship we complained and asked for a room near our traveling group....

I was not expecting to like a cruise very much as I am an outdoorsy person that loves do go hiking, running, rockclimbing, etc. I thought the cruise would be a lot of eating and sitting around on a boat with a bunch of rich people.
Though there was an aspect of that for those that enjoy that, there is also so much more to do. They offered a great workout gym, free excersize classes, a running track upstairs, 4 different pools, a spa, sauna, great food, lots of entertainment, fun clubs, great comedy shows, etc....
read full review »The cruise on the ship was excellent, it was a new ship with carnival called liberty, the room was nice and the handicap bath was almost as big as the room.
The food was excellent and plenty of food was found every where on the ship.
The only thing that I feel they could change and I heard this from many people on the ship is alot of the activities were geard for the younger crowd and not much for fifty and above.which was the majority of the passengers. Alot of people were talking about taking a different cruise line that geard there activities for older passengers.
the best thing about this cruise as well as all other i have been on is the service. The show went on reguardless of what was going on in the ocean and the ship. It was cold but you would have not know it the way the music was playing and the crew responded. this trip was in May 2006 in Europe. It was the best.
All together a good cruise; however, a few words to the wise. Check your Sun and Sail account thoroughly. I was charged for something I did not get and due to lack of time did not have time to check with purser. Next time I will check the night before. Also, don't bother with Tour called Discover Mexico in Cozmel or Discover Roatan there. Both were not much for the money. Food was good but I have been on other ships where the choices were greater and where 5 or more courses offered. Tenders in Belize left much to be desired--they were really quite dangerous because water was...read full review »
I went on the Carinval Legend in August. What a great cruise. I went with my parents, 2 younger sisters, and grandparents. My parents are 51 and 49. I am 25 and my sisters are 22 and 18. My grandfather is 80 and my grandmother is 79. My grandparents used wheelchairs to get through the check in for the cruise because they cannot stand for long amounts of time. This made checkin so easy. They checked are entire family in at the same time and let us all board the ship even before are calling group because of the wheelchairs. No one seemed to have any problems during check-in even...
