Most HelpfulAbout three years ago, my family and I celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary aboard Carnival Cruise Lines. This was our first cruise and we were not prepared for the many adventures that lay ahead for us. Our ship left port in Miami. We were given a rush course on emergency evacuation before leaving port. Once done, we were encouraged to explore the ship. We decided to get a drink and unwind on the top deck. As the ship left port, the party began.
There was lots of eating, drinking and dancing. The food was plentiful and, much to my surprise, very appetizing. Most of...
read full review »This was my first cruise on Carnival, but not my last. I have been looking forward to going on a cruise for years. This cruise is for our 25th anniversary. I am booking a cruise for October 2005 on Holiday.
I read the reviews and checked all the sites for information about our ship the Fascination. If a background check could be done on a ship I would have done one. It would have come out as clean as anyone could. I was impressed with the ship, the crew, the food and the entertainment.
We arrived early about 11:30-12 noon. When we arrived in Miami we found our port. Following the instructions...
read full review »This was my first cruise, although my husband and I lived on a tropical island for a number of years. My husband is a pastor, and it is very difficult to get him away from all the demands on his time so we can have quality time together. The cruise was perfect! I love the ocean, the ship is a self-contained community with every amenity I could possibly want, the service was absolutely first-rate, our privacy was respected, and we had a wonderful time! There was some kind of restaurant (or room service) available 24 hours/day, everything from a hot dog and pizza stand to a very formal 5-course...
read full review »"You get what you pay for" was definitely true here. Got a free cruise when we bought a new Chevy last year and most of the people on board were comped via a distributor rewards program from a mini-blind company. It was a nice getaway, but well below quality of previous cruises I've been on (Holland America, Norwegian).
Food pretty much sucked, so no worries about gaining weight like most do on a cruise. In fact, our best meals by far were had when we got off the ship in port. Steak was tough, lobster was ok, not great, pastas like something you would whip up for the kids (random items from the...
read full review »The Staff, crew members, and entertainers were all amazing on this cruise that left from Jacksonville 1.10.09-1.15.09 , but on the other hand, also feel sorry for the Staff, crew members, and entertainers, who had to put up with these very horrible low class boondocks southern, very ignorant, very horrible people, who made...

She is 24, and she loved the night life, which was offered in abundance. I am a spontaneous traveler, so I was content to do whatever, whenever.
I am a bargain shopper, so at the end of the cruise when they start to bring down the prices ,I'm right there to catch them. When we are in Cozumel, Mexico we have a glorious time shopping,I've been there many times, and i'm familiar with all the great places to shopat for the best prices. We had such fun price...
read full review »This cruise was a great value. However, the quality was outstanding. The destinations were fun and exciting. The food and the crew were wonderful. The only complaint was that creme brulee was not on the menu. Getting on and off the ship went very smooth. I was never bored. There is too many fun and exciting things to do. And if I just wanted to do nothing then my room was always clean and very comfortable. I went with about thirty people with many different interests and all had a wonderful time. Our ship left from Jacksonville and went to Keywest Florida and the Bahamas. ...
read full review »My cousin and I celebrated our 40th Birthday's together on this cruise ship last summer. Everyone working there was so friendly and entertaining and helpful. The Cabin steward was even helpful when my cousin was sea-sick... We brought a Tropical Storm home with us from Mexico. It was most entertaining to see the sober stumbling down to the dining Room and dancing around the Disco. I was amazed at how quickly the staff rearranged the entertainment during the time of bad weather. There were tons of indoor games, bingo, Walk-for-the-Cure, etc... Since I was unaffected by the rough seas...
