Carnival Cruise Lines - Fascination Review Summary

If you’re looking to sail the high seas, Viewpoints reviewers give Carnival Cruise Lines’ Fascination high marks. People who love to travel enjoyed the Fascination due, in part, to the “fantastic” crew who were “willing to go out of their way” for vacationers. Reviewers also found the variety of things to do on and off the ship to be “wonderful”. You may want to do most of your swimming in the sea, however, because there is just one pool for everyone on board. Interested in reading about other Carnival Cruises? My boyfriend and I had a GREAT time on the Carnival Fascination cruise to the Bahamas.  There was always something to do and somewhere to go, and in addition to the activity the rooms were very clean and well kept offering a wonderful night's rest.  Our favorite activity while on the… read full review »

About three years ago, my family and I celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary aboard Carnival Cruise Lines.  This was our first cruise and we were not prepared for the many adventures that lay ahead for us.  Our ship left port in Miami.  We were given a rush course on… read full review »

I took a cruise on the Carnival Fascination which was a pleasant experience. The boat itself was in good shape and my room was one with an ocean view. I recommend it for a nice get away for someone who doesn't have allot of money to spend on a cruise.  The beds were so comfortable with cozy linens! The food was decent but nothing that left me wanting more. The service was average. My ship excursion was to go swim with dolphins. I felt there should have been a member from Carnival there to instruct the group what to do and or expect due to the fact it was raining when we were… read full review »

This was my first cruise, although my husband and I lived on a tropical island for a number of years.  My husband is a pastor, and it is very difficult to get him away from all the demands on his time so we can have quality time together.  The cruise was perfect!  I love the ocean, the ship is a self-contained community with every amenity I could possibly want, the service was absolutely first-rate, our privacy was respected, and we had a wonderful time!  There was some kind of restaurant (or room service) available 24 hours/day, everything from a hot dog and… read full review »

"You get what you pay for" was definitely true here. Got a free cruise when we bought a new Chevy last year and most of the people on board were comped via a distributor rewards program from a mini-blind company. It was a nice getaway, but well below quality of previous cruises I've been on (Holland America, Norwegian). — Food pretty much sucked, so no worries about gaining weight like most do on a cruise. In fact, our best meals by far were had when we got off the ship in port. Steak was tough, lobster was ok, not great, pastas like something you would whip up for the kids (random… read full review »

My first experience with cruising was on my Honeymoon and, let me tell you, I was treated like a princess. The ship was neat and clean, the crew members were fantastic! They really went out of their way to make passengers feel valued and comfortable. We took part in fun onboard activities like "Survivor at Sea" and a Honeymooners trivia game. The slots were great too (we won $1,200!) and there were many excursion choices at the ports of call (Montego Bay, Grand Cayman and Cozumel). We swan w/ stingrays in Cayman, pet a live aligator in the Black River in Jamaica and lazed in hammocks on a… read full review »

My daughter and I cruised the Fascination, and we had a wonderful time. The customer service was fantastic, and the food was excellent. —     She is 24, and she loved the night life, which was  offered in abundance. I am a spontaneous traveler, so I was content to do whatever, whenever. —   I am a bargain shopper, so at the end of the cruise when they start to bring down the prices ,I'm right there to catch them. When we are in Cozumel, Mexico we have a glorious time shopping,I've been there many times, and i'm familiar with all the great places to… read full review »

My cousin and I celebrated our 40th Birthday's together on this cruise ship last summer.  Everyone working there was so friendly and entertaining and helpful.  The Cabin steward was even helpful when my cousin was sea-sick...  We brought a Tropical Storm home with us from Mexico.  It was most entertaining to see the sober stumbling down to the dining Room and dancing around the Disco.  I was amazed at how quickly the staff rearranged the entertainment during the time of bad weather.  There were tons of indoor games, bingo, Walk-for-the-Cure, etc...  Since I… read full review »

It was my very first cruise, and I would do it again.  The cruise was so enjoyable, the service was fantastic. Every night the stewards would come in to your room and turn your bed down and put a mint on your pillow and make a critter out of one or your towels. The food was great a wonderful variety and tons of different food.  You could eat all night if you wanted to. The entertainment was great!  Something for everyone. Bingo, dancing, or you could gamble.  Every day there is a schedule of activities. Ice sculpting, exerecising, all sorts of classes in many things. I… read full review »

We went on the Fascination in August 08.  Unfortunately we had a hurricane so our ports were changed to Grand Turk.  Nice island if you like to snorkle or scuba, which we do.  We only had one port but the ship compensated the port charges from the other one we missed.  Had a beautiful penthouse suite, which I loved!!!!  Staff was wonderful, food excellent and entertainment good.  This was our fourth cruise and second on Carnival.  Carnival has a wonderful teen program and my daughters had an awesome time.  They stayed out later than me!!  All and… read full review »

We took this cruise during an all-girls vacation.  We ended up with lots of young, spring breakers.  It's an affordable cruise ship, so you need to be careful not to travel during the holiday break, otherwise, the rooms smell like just a hint of vomit.  —  The tour itself and all the stops were really fantastic.  The excursions were good and affordable. —  This was my second cruise, and I can't say I've discovered any good food yet -- but there sure is a lot of it. — Overall, I'd go again, but I'd look for a slightly newer ship and a better… read full review »

My family and I have cruised on The Facination twice departing from the Port of Tampa.  We loved the ease of checking in and getting on board.  We love the lights and the glamour from the moment we arrive and  the constant pampering that we feel.  The rooms are better than adequate and larger than we expected.  We love that it can be as busy and active as we want or as laid back as we want.  The food is also quite good.  We have taken advantage of most activities on the ship except the at auctions.  We look forward to sruising… read full review »

I took the cruise as my first one, at the time I worked for Carnival so there really was not question which cruise line I'd go on (paid as everyone else, though, minus a 15% discount). Only had time for a quick weekend to the Bahamas and back but it was a nice way to spend a weekend. Good shopping in Nassau, took a tour of the Atlantis Hotel and Casino, while friends went to swim with the stingray(they had a blast). I no longer work for Carnival but I'm heading back down this coming weekend-so you know I like… read full review »

I was on the Fascination with some girlfriends. We had a great time. The staff was friendly and accomodating. We loved the disco bar. Our room was cozy, but enough room to do what we needed it for. Our room steward was more than accomodating. I would recommend this cruise ship to anyone. The pizza was excellent, too. We went to Key West and Cozumel, Mexico. Key West was fun and exciting. The weather was not that great the day we were in Cozumel, but we made the best of it. It wasn't the cruiselines… read full review »
