I find cruises primarily are  what you make them--there is plenty to do for every age. For those of us who are looking for some rest and relaxation the best plan is a balance of the two.Having plenty of fun is refreshing and the fact that meals and snacks are done for you ,as well as room service if desired is important.

At the different ports--one can go off board and explore shopping or try new cuisine or just enjoy experiencing a new culture. It's up to you or you can stay on board and go swimming and get a facial for refreshment. Overall from on board Casino and huge buffets with tasty foods for your choosing its luxury at its best.

Lastly, with all the amenities and people to interact with and just being out at sea to look at  natural beauty -- its an opportunity to stop and smell the roses and not have a schedule to meet.  It's just a little bit of  heaven--my advice is try it for yourself .
