I love cruises! This was my second cruise and I intend to take many more with Carnival. Carnival's agents worked with my sister to plan a inexspensive yet beautiful cruise wedding. We took 50 guests along for the ride and almost all have agreed to go again next year. I loved being on the ship and… read full review »

This was my first cruise. I am 36 and went with my husband and 15 and 17 year old sons. I was worried that the boys would get bored,,,,, but we never saw them on the ship. The teen club was wonderful and had a lot of activities for them to do. They met kids from all over the world and had so much fun. — The cabin was small, but the closets and drawers were very well set up and allowed us to empty our suite cases and hide them. The bed was comfy and the shower was great. — The food was out of this world! Every meal was great. — I did not like haveing to buy a soda card, that… read full review »

When my son was home of leave due to a medical relief leave for the death of a family member. — I thought that it would be a much needed get away for me and my son under the circumstances. In order to take my son's mind off of the death of his grandmother. — And i was right it taught him that no matter what that life goes on and it still has to be lived and enjoyed. That death was a part of life. — We had a great time it was my sons first cruise and for sure i believe that we will go on another one without the tears. — The cruise gave him a mental rest. It was great… read full review »

A member of our group was beaten up by teenage passengers on the ship while at sea.  He tried to step in to keep 5 teenagers from jumping a 15 year old boy.  Other than ask if he wanted to press charges, Carnival showed no concern about the incident.  We were even billed for the infirmary visit to check out his… read full review »

This cruise was a four day trip from Galveston to Cozumel. One day was supposed to be an excursion to Merida but that was cancelled because the ship did not depart Galveston until the second day of the cruise. I was particularly annoyed that my cooked food I ordered in the dining room at dinner was not served hot. The bread basket at dinner time was never left at the table, the staff meted it out via individual requests. The one night with lobster on the menu was also dress code night so anyone that wanted a casual cruise was not entitled to eat any lobster. I felt like a sheep  being… read full review »

I have heard from many people that free style cruising is the best way to go.  In my experiance though I must say... I loved the option of getting to know all the couples at our table.(Some of which we still keep in touch with) — The staff we encountered were very friendly, service oriented and wonderful.  I will recomend getting a fountain card so you can get soft drinks and not have to pay a large sum. —  My husband and I enjoyed the evning shows.  The food was wonderful!!!! The casino was very good to us as well.  We had our pictures taken everyday and… read full review »

We found the Carnival Ectasy crew to be great; extremely customer service oriented. The ship was clean and well maintained and we loved the destinations for this short cruise. However, I think that partially, because we have cruised in the past on a much larger, competitor cruise line, the Ectasy left much to be desired. — While the service was great, the on board activities were extremely limited and we found ourselves quite bored on the days we were out to sea. There was only one gift ship and 1 jewelry shop, no on board restaurants and a very limited selection of… read full review »

Had a fun relaxing time.  The outside stateroom was comfortable enough- didn't spend too much time there.  Bathrooms throughout the ship were not always as clean and stocked as they could have been.  The evening entertainment was okay.  Didn't find anything other than the casino too exciting.  The comedian was lame.  However the full feature movies and art auction were fun and enjoyable.  The food was good- mainly dined in the restaurant.  The midnight buffet and the room service were wonderful and very convenient.  The day at sea was fun- had a… read full review »

As a graduation from college present for myself I went on a Carnival cruise in November of 1997. I would suggest that if you are young and single cruising or at least this cruise line is not for you. I felt like I was on a field trip the entire time. I also did not like the fact that our room steward kept hitting on my friend whom I was travelling with. It made it very uncomfortable for us as we tried to quickly dogde him throughout the entire trip. I also did not enjoy having to eat dinner with people as old as my parents, especially when we had requested to sit with a younger crowd. This… read full review »

My family and I stayed busy the whole time, there is a lot to do, good food and entertainment. I would highly suggest this cruise line. We were never concerned about our safety. The staff was friendly and helpful. The people we meet were all in good spirits and had nothing bad to say. We plan to take a cruise at least every 2 years if possible. However, the room was a little small, we usualy stay in a large suite when we stay in hotels, so it was a little tight for us.  But we didn't spend alot of time in the room other than to sleep, and dress anyway. If you are money cautions however,… read full review »

THE ship was very nice. The atmosphere was very laid back and we liked that.  The mixed drinks were a little pricey, we thought. The only other thing was there was no easy or quick way to go from 1 end of the ship to the middle or to the other end. The signs for directions were almost nil to help you go from 1 place to another. It was inconvenient that you could only get to certain areas by elevator and the signs were not clear. We loved the ship and it was a very enjoyable experience.  — e would travel the ship again. — — We also liked that most of the… read full review »

I went on this cruise in February with a group of girlfriends.  We had a fun trip because we were all together, but I would rather have flown somewhere and had more time to do what we wanted to do.  The ocean was so rough that one night they had to cancel the stage show because the girls would have fallen off the stage and one night so rough that we didn't even go to dinner.  I guess I am just not cruise material.  My husband and I went on an Alaskan cruise last year and it was great to see everything in Alaska, but I would have preferred to fly there and stay in each town… read full review »
