Carnival Cruise Lines - Ecstasy Review

This was my first cruise. I am 36 and went with my husband and 15 and 17 year old sons. I was worried that the boys would get bored,,,,, but we never saw them on the ship. The teen club was wonderful and had a lot of activities for them to do. They met kids from all over the world and had so much fun.

The cabin was small, but the closets and drawers were very well set up and allowed us to empty our suite cases and hide them. The bed was comfy and the shower was great.

The food was out of this world! Every meal was great.

I did not like haveing to buy a soda card, that should be included in the price. We could only get sodas at the bars and the bartenders didn't like serving cokes because they didn't get the required tip for that. It would have been easier to use fountain on our own. The adult drinks were too expensive and for my taste wayyyyyy too strong.

The entertainment and staff were absoluty A++.

Trying to get in the pool or hot tub was not easy to do unless you wanted to be constantly splashed by kids (even though the hot tubs said for adults only). Kids were running around yelling, pushing and being rude. The parents didn't seem to care.

Our tour of Progresso was not good. I didn't feel it was a good plase to stop. It was dirty, hot, nothing to do at port, had to drive for more than an hour and I didn't feel it was worth the $450.00 we spent.

We were in a tropical storm and the capt did great at going around it and keeping the ride as smooth as possible.

I would totally go on another cruise, but will try to plan it while kids are in school.
