Carnival Cruise Lines - Ecstasy Review

We found the Carnival Ectasy crew to be great; extremely customer service oriented. The ship was clean and well maintained and we loved the destinations for this short cruise. However, I think that partially, because we have cruised in the past on a much larger, competitor cruise line, the Ectasy left much to be desired.

While the service was great, the on board activities were extremely limited and we found ourselves quite bored on the days we were out to sea. There was only one gift ship and 1 jewelry shop, no on board restaurants and a very limited selection of food. Plus, we found the dinning room seating to be extremely uncomfortable and the quality of the food lacking.

On our future cruises, we will not travel on this small of a ship and I doubt very seriously that we will travel Carnival cruise lines again. While they do offer lower prices than their competitors, their quality is not near as good. You really do get what you pay for. I will, in the future, spend the extra money and cruise with the competitor.

For college kids, or newly weds, this particular ship would probably be great. But for more mature travelers, it leaves a lot to be desired.
