Carnival Cruise Lines - Conquest cozumel, grand caymen and jamaica —
A group of 8, 4 couples sailed on the Conquest.....we were in aft staterooms, newly appointed with luxury bedding. Our room steward was a gem....she anticipated our needs and made sure we were well cared for. Food and service was exceptional.....something for every persons tastes and special food preparation and service for a celiac sufferer. The ship is very well kept, sanitation was a priority. Entrtainment was standard for a cruise ship....the spa services were expensive but worth it. Ports of call.....Jamaica was our favorite.....we hired a private driver with a new air conditoned van ....we had researched places we were interested to see...our driver/guide ensured we saw everything possible within the time frame was had....and threw in a couple surprises along the way. Grand Cayman was OK...but found the people not as friendly as in Jamaica....we went to the beach and did some shopping. Cozumel....was OK....went to a beach and were charged outrageous prices for drinks and snacks....had to pay for chairs and umbrellas and were constantly being asked to buy something....one lady even woke up one of our group to see if he wanted candy......In both Grand Cayman and Cozumel we returned to the ship early...and thoroughly enjoyed hanging out around the pool without a host of teens taking over everything. We look forward to sailing on the Conquest again in the near future.
