Most HelpfulCarmines food is awesome, can't beat the price if your dining with friends or a large family who enjoy the same types of dishes, you do. Served family style, portions are large. If your dining for two this may not be your best choice unless you like lots....of leftovers. Best itailian food and...

Most HelpfulCarmines is a typical family-style Italian-American restaurant. The platters are enormous, the food and waitstaff are good.
I recommend going into Carmines with at least 4 people so you can order 2 entrees to share and then have more than enough left-overs to...
review »Whenever we have a birthday to celebrate, friends to get together with, or really just want an excuse for delicious food, my boyfriend and I always end up at Carmine's. What's great about the family-sized portions is that, as long as you're sharing it with 3 or 4 people, it all of a sudden becomes rather cheap to eat there, in comparison to equivalent restaurants in Manhattan. We've been going there for over a year now about once a month and always try something new with each visit; I have never been disappointed and I am a notoriously picky eater. If you would like some recommendations, their...
review »Carmines is a great NYC destination. Family portions are enough to feed a party and take enough home for the next day. Caesar salad is pungent with the anchovy kick that it should have. You cannot go wrong with the angel hair and meatballs - we always order it. And the side order of eggplant parmesan is a multitude of layers of tightly packed thin slices of eggplant that simply cannot be replicated at home. It really is an art. We've always had great meals at Carmines (both locations). But I must say there was one time we had the seafood linguini and it was way too salty. But we had already...
review »Carmines was one of the first restaurants I enjoyed on my first NY trip with my girlfriends. Some of my friends had already been to Carmines and suggested we go because it was so good. I loved the atmosphere and the food and can't wait to go back. We were able to order a variety of different foods to share and we all left full and happy. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants great Italian food!
Carmines price's are reasonable for all the food you get, it's family style. This was very good pasta. It was cooked well, al dente, and not mushy. My favorite is shrimp sauce on fettucini. It includes a lot of fresh garlic slivers. A pretty good value: spend about $30 and feed four people on one dish! And for the dessert yummy.
Carmine is a great pklace to go if you are going with a crowd. We took my mother there for her birthday, the wait was long but the portion was large enough that we didnt have to order a lot to feed 12 people. The waiter was very helpful because we were ordering individual order and he told us that we were ordering to much food, and he didnt have to do that. We enjoyed ourself.
