When we buy products like this, we try to get the ones that have the least additives because the additives can upset the system. So that is how we ended up with this product - it has minimal "inactive" ingredients. I don't think the capsules work as well as the juice but I like this product. I break open the capsules and put it directly on what I need it for (I don't recommend doing this though -- wish it just came in the concentrate as a squeezable but never been able to find exactly what I want). I think I may have chipped a tooth trying to just use the inside so, as I said, not recommended ;-) ...and other means of opening them would probably be less safe! Anyway, other than that, I really like this product. Seems to be decent quality and works reasonably well, although, it has it's own purpose. If I were to put this next to the aloe juice for acid reduction and healing, I would choose the juice. But this is good for the purpose that I use it for. Very good product for an Aloe concentrate capsule.
