Travelers Group
We started with Travelers almost 2 years ago and do not plan to change anytime soon! The customer service is excellent. We first had our vehicles insured through Travelers, and getting set up was extremely easy. Any time I had questions regarding the paperwork, someone was there to take me through it step by step. We have had other insurance companies in the past, but none that can meet the kind of patience and attention that we get at Travelers. Progressive
I've been a Progressive customer since 2003. Every time my policy comes up for renewal, I shop around for a better price. In almost seven years, no other company comes close to Progressive for value. This year, I filed my first claim ( a hit and run parking lot incident). Wow, Progressive went above and beyond in working with the police to find the person who hit my car and had my car in the shop within two days for repair. I was beyond pleased with the service I received and would recommend Progressive to anyone shopping for insurance, not only for the price but for the claims service.
Esurance
I financed a used 2005 Grand Prix GT, in October of 2006 and my esurance rate was approximately $146 a month for two drivers. I noted over the last year that my rate was increasing a little each month. I called when the amount reached $172 and I was told that the rate increased due to state taxes. I thought that if they changed the rate, a notification would given to the policyholder, as well as an explanation for it. Perhaps, I am naive. I have been with Mercury insurance for many years because their rates were unbeatable. I recently had a car wrecked that was a total loss and expected that this is when I would see the "dark side" of Mercury. I was prepared for a low-ball settlement offer on the value of the car based on past experience with insurance settlements. USAA Banking and Insurance
USAA is the company that my family has used for insurance for a long time. The only way to have access to this insurance company is if you were in the military or if one of your family members had their insurance through USAA.

I've been a member for 17 years and have financed two houses and a car with them. Lately, bank reps have started to promote mortgage refi and other offerings. While I love USAA, the reps should handle the question you called about and stop perusing accounts to determine what financial vehicle they want to offer.

State Farm adds the personal touch of an agent and office personel that are friendly and helpful. They are willing to work with you and help you find the plan that's right for you. Lets face it-the prices don't really vary that much from one company to another!
