Captain Morgan Parrot Bay Review

I'm not a big drinker so when I do go out with friends for drinks I never know what to order.  A friend of mine is a major social butterfly and always in the know with regard to the latest popular drinks.  A few years ago when we were out celebrating a milestone at work I asked her to order something for me that I'd like.  She brought back the most delicious drink I've ever had which I have since recreated at home lots of times.  It was simply two shots of Parrot Bay rum in a glass of pineapple juice over lots of ice and it was delightful! 

I was surprised that I was drinking rum as I've never been a big fan.  My sister in law drinks rum and Diet Coke which I've tried and hated.  But this tastes nothing like plain old rum.  It's coconut!  In fact it tastes so good and coconutty that I could probably drink it straight or over ice and really enjoy it.  I'd be on the floor in an hour, but I'd really like it.  The rum.... not being on the floor.

Parrot Bay is perfectly clear like water so when mixed with orange or pineapple juice it doesn't change the color much.  At home I add 2 shots to a glass full of crushed ice then pour in a six ounce glass of pineapple juice, mix well and enjoy.  It has become my signature drink when I have guests over and everyone really enjoys them.
