This breadil willl have you looking for excuses to make a sandwich. Slightly sweet, always soft and the uncanny ability to meld its flavor with whatever it's wrapped around. Earlier negative reviews sound as if they may have had a problem with their supplier or retailer as I have never bought a loaf that was stale or hard. Five stars!

I use to love your bread. It was always fresh but now the last 5 loafs I have bought were horrible. I will. It be buying it anymore. Something has most definitely changed. Pleas find out what happened and go back to the way it was.

We had never heard of this brand before moving to Georgia. Due to my husbands job, we relocate often and certain products aren't available. One loaf was all it took, it has better flavor than any of the nationally sold breads and stays fresh much longer. I've seen some complaints of cost, which make no sense to me when you consider that no slice will be waisted due to dry, hard, or moldy bread.

Captain John Derst Good Old Fashion Bread is a family favorite at my house. You can always count on this bread to be fresh, soft, and delicious. It smells so sweet! It has a great flavor. It is rich and buttery. It makes amazing french toast! It makes great sandwiches too, and it's wonderful to just eat by the slice. This is one of the best, if not the best breads out there!

This bread is the best! It last at least a month and is just as fresh as the day I buy it. If you are looking for a good bread that doesn't go stale and/or mold within a week or two, this is the bread for you to try! It is a little higher priced than the others, but for me, it is worth it because I don't waste it as I do other brands because it stays fresher a lot longer!

I have been eating Capt. John's bread for awhile. we have taken it camping and everything! The reason I am leaving this review is because at work I keep a loaf of bread. I went to get a slice and noticed that I have had the same loaf for 1 month and 2 weeks past expiration date. Just be fore i started to throw it away I decided to look at it to see if it was molded or stiff. Know kidding it was almost as fresh as the day I bought it. No mold and still soft. So I was like well I will toast it and see if it tasted the same. Sure enough it was good! So that is why i looked up reviews on it today. I cant believe how long it has lasted but I am really impressed. It is worth the money.
