As a Citizen of the United States, and understanding the precarious financial position that we are headed toward, it is imperative that we support American companies that provide services and products produced or provided by employees that are Citizens of the United States, or those legal aliens with the intention of becoming Citizens. — To contact a human being when I call Capital One, my calls have been sent to an overseas location in the Far East or Middle East where I am to speak to a person trained to sound "somewhat" American but who can't answer my questions. The reason…

free gift card rewards junkie, always looking for ways to save, drive a lot, thrifty, online banker, don't carry a balance, researcher, not rich
After reveiwing serveral credit cards for my husband, whom has a low score, we found this card that was for those rebuilding credit. It offers 1% cash back, 0% APR for 6 months, and 14.99% which is a little high, but since we are rebuilding we only want this for gas purchases and groceries so we can pay this off each month. So far so good, they submit each month a nice report to the 3 major credit places so that by the end of the 2 years we hope to have credit scores higher than now, and with constantly paying on time for the mortgage payments that will help too :). Always helps to have 2…

Every day computer user, an moderate investor, an aggressive saver
I think this is a terrific card! I only pay $19 a year to use it, and when I talk to the company in August, they usually waive that fee. I use the card for everything possible, including my telephone bills and car insurance. I ALWAYS pay it off in full every month. That is the only way to use a credit card. (Only 10% of people who have credit cards pay them off each month, and I'm glad to be in that minority.) There are many types of rewards. Since I don't have anywhere special to fly, I usually just take my rewards in cash…

Good card that doesn't call you non stop or send a lot of junk mail. I appreciate not being bothered constantly by creditcard companies. They have online bill pay and send paper and e statements. I like it when they send both. I haven't had to call their customer service, except one time. They seem pretty easy to work with to…

Capitol One woos customers with these great percentage rates and sets you up to fail then they pounce on you and the minute you are one day late, one penny late they start calling you at home and work, bothering you. They don't actually listen to your concerns etc. They make next to impossible to cancel their…

Capital One Visa can be good card to start out with, though hidden fees can add up. — — I received an offer for 0% interest for 6 months, at which time the interest would go to 19.99%. ( Yes, that is high, but I have been working to rebuild my credit after being hit with rates as high as 29%.) This offer stated there would be "No Annual Fee" on this credit card. Needing to rebuild my credit, I accepted this offer. — — At the end of the first year, however, I received a shock. I logged into my account to find I had been charged an annual fee…
