Capital One Visa can be good card to start out with, though hidden fees can add up.

I received an offer for 0% interest for 6 months, at which time the interest would go to 19.99%. ( Yes, that is high, but I have been working to rebuild my credit after being hit with rates as high as 29%.) This offer stated there would be "No Annual Fee" on this credit card. Needing to rebuild my credit, I accepted this offer.

At the end of the first year, however, I received a shock. I logged into my account to find I had been charged an annual fee of $69. Turned out the "No Annual Fee" was for the first year only. If that information was included on the offer, it was probably hidden in the micro-fine print.

My conclusion with regard to the Capital One Visa is that it can be an excellent vehicle for rebuilding credit, however, there are better offers available. Shop around and do not settle for the first one that coems around.
