Capital One - Platinum Visa Review

I've had horrible experiences with Capital One and I know multiple people that have as well.  I've had a credit card from Capital One for over two years and I haven't even used my card in months.  I was late on a payment twice, once was only by one day.  They sent me a letter saying they were going to issue me an annual fee unless I cancel my card and they raised my interest rate.  I always pay more than my minimum payment and my balance is right around $100.  I think it's just ridiculous that they don't work with you more.  My boyfriend has had more problems with Capital One than I have.  He wasn't able to make payments for a few months so he just ignored his payments, which was his fault, but when he tried to call Capital One to settle they were so harsh and not hardly willing to work with him at all.   He has two other credit cards and both the other companies were willing to work with him and settle his debt in a more managable way.  Plus every time we call Capital One we speak to a foreigner.  The problem with this is I have to explain myself fifteen times!  I definitely do not recommend Capital One.  They are horrible.
