Sadly...like many in this country now, I am a "victim" of divorce and later bankruptcy. And I do use the word "victim" seriously.
When no one else would even look at my credit application for a credit card, Capital One did. Naturally, it's a rather low credit limit. That's OK...I don't want a high limit as in previous days.
To those new to credit cards...two tidbits of advice: #1) Don't get carried away. #2) Pay your bill immediately. Not paying your bill FAST will result higher interest rates & a bad credit rating.
I like the fact that I can pull up my account anytime on-line and also pay my bill on-line. It's faster than the mail. Credit cards are almost a necessity these days. Use it wisely.
