I have constantly heard about how "Resident Evil"  was the ultimate in survival horror.  And I have to agree with the assesment.  Although it doesn't have the creep factor of say, a 'Silent Hill', or a "Fatal Exposure", it more than makes up for it in it's action.

The storyline is deep and detailed.  And the game makes full use of the entire game controller.  No tjust one or two buttons.  Plus the puzzles are pretty straight forward.  I always puzzles where you don't know if there 'is' a puzzle.

The only problem I ever had was with the controller action.  At one point you have to avoid headshots.  (play the game to find out why)  I tried to take out one guy with a shot to the leg.  Even had the laser scope pointed at his shin.  Pulled the trigger, and his head exploded.

Still, I highly recommend this game.

Great Review :)
I think the Resident Evil series is more action/adventure/horror than straight survival horror. I have RE4 for both the wii and ps2 it's very action oriented
