If you’re a long time fan of the Clock Tower Series Clock Tower 3 may be a bit disappointing. The first game after the original company was bought by Capcom; it’s taken an entirely new direction from the old school Clock Tower games. This is the first game in the series to use direct control over the character rather than point and click movement. It’s also changed its plot around quite a bit from the murder mystery/monster scenario to focus more on the occult and spirits. Although the changes throw me off a little I do like the game in itself. It has a nice plot line and it’s full of fast paced action and quick thinking. There are 5 levels with increasingly hard bosses all with their own weaknesses and strong points to overcome.
I wouldn’t really recommend this as an introduction to the Clock Tower series but it’s a great stand alone game or addition to the series as long as you can get around the major plot changes.
