As a freelance and news videographer I've used many cameras and shot in many scenarios. I originally picked up the Vixia to use mainly as a secondary camera angle for my production business because it was a good price. I wanted something easy and portable that would take a decent image...and it does that...an understatement. I quickly found myself favoring the Vixia over my big expensive camera models. This was so easy to pick up and go and get great footage. The picture quality is great.The battery charges quick. Transferring to the computer is easy with the SD cards. Definitely invest in a high capacity chip to get the most out of this camera.
