I have now owned my Canon Rebel xTi for about 3 months and I do not leave home without it. I use it for both work and play - as I am a Realtor and constantly shooting photos of homes and land and as a mother of 4 I am taking a lot of photos of my kids. This year my oldest is a senior in High School and I just finished 'supplementing' her senior portraits with a few taken by ME! My canon makes it so easy to add a filter here / and a filter there for the right effects both indoors and out that I couldn't help myself. I also use the 'sports' feature quite often when attending football/volleyball/and baseball games. The additional zoom lens lets you capture my kids in their action shots beyond the traditional 'team photo' that I always had in the past. For the first time - I just used it at the Seahawks preseason game against the Raiders and my photos look like I was on the field with the players.  I cannot ask for a better camera for my photo needs!  I am even thinking about taking classes to enhance my photography skills ... now that I have a camera to support the effort!!

I've heard many other great reviews on this camera. I think even b/w photo master Clyde Butcher has one of these, if I'm not mistaken. (We werea talking cameras recently) I'll bear this in mind next time I go shopping. I've been using a fairly complicated Sony camera and am not sure about it yet...

I have a Cannon as well, although I don't think it is the same model. I love it as it slips easily into my purse to go everywhere with me. It's funny how I see so many things to take pictures of when I'm either in a hurry or forget my camera. Good review. Keep up the good work.

I am saving up to get the zoom lens. I think that would be great. I hope you'll post loads of photos. I really enjoy the user pics here.
