We purchased our Rebel XTi in August and in November loaned it to a friend. Up until then, we'd had no troubles with the camera but it didn't work when we got it back and were disappointed to discover our friend tried to put the CF card in backwards forwards and upside down. The pins were broken and so we sent it in for repairs fully expecting to pay for our service. We were very honest and admitted that we knew that the item was not a factory problem but a user problem but it was repaired under warranty and we had it back within one week of shipping to them.
I cannot say enough excellent things about the professionalism, speed, and extra-mile service extended by the Canon Warranty Service Centers.
