I must say that Canon seems to be getting it right with every new Digital SLR camera they put out. But was really impresses me is that they aren't just spending their time on the higher end models ($1,200.00 - $5,000.00 range) but they are putting together Great SLR cameras with all the bells and whistles that you get in an expensive SLR Digital camera!

For example with the XTI you get 12 megapixels! And the image sensor is the same quality as the higher end 40D ($1,300.00 model)

The XTI is well built and very comfortable to hold. I am a wedding photographer and trust me when I say that this camera weighs much less than the expensive SLR cameras out there. Mostly because it's made with plastic, but a very durable high density plastic that can take a beating. What would be nice is if the XTI was a little more weather proof like it's higher end models. But then again you shouldn't be out in a storm with any camera unless of course you work for National Geographic!

The only thing I really don't care for in the XTI is the fact that Canon went away from the Compact Flash and switched it to use the SD (mini memory cards).

I still can't figure out why they did this but given everything that is awsome about the camera, I can get over it! I also like the dust eliminating cleaning sensor. (Vibrations clean off your sensor from the dreaded dust particles).

This camera retails for around $900.00 for camera and lens together and around $799.00 for Body only.

Where can you get a Digital SLR  with image stabalized lens, 3" view screen, 12 Megapixels, Awsome photographs with awsome color reproduction for under $1,000.00 !! You can't go wrong with the Canon XTI !!!
