This is an outstanding dSLR camera. The automatic settings allow for it to function just like a point and shoot style, however the picture quality is far beyond the entire point and shoot class.
The Rebel XTi is feature rich and simple to use. People who want to step up from a pocket camera will find the Rebel XTi fast becoming their best friend.
It is solidly built. Fit and finish were top notch. The controls were right where I expected them to be with only one exception. The dial wheel that controls the manual exposure requires some dexterity to use. The only other drawback I found was that the exposure meter turns off too quickly.
All in all, if I had it to do all over, I would buy this camera again.
