I use the big, bulky, professional 35mm digital SLR's everyday at work.  When I'm not at work, I want a nice, small, light camera to carry with me.  But, I'm spoiled by the outstanding image quality I get from those big cameras at work. I did some serious research and compared this sd870, the sd750 and the new sd1100's with IS.  I LOVED the large screen of the sd870 and sd750 but wanted the IS of the 1100... so, after actually buying all 3 (the nice sales folks said I could try them out and return the 2 I didn't want) and comparing image quality, color etc... Great camera. very stylish ..My friends are really jealous that I own such a beautiful camera..It has got very big screen 3 inches...you hardly find big lcd in photoshoot category.
