Love this camera

By

from USA

Comments about Canon PowerShot SX260:

I own the Canon PowerShot SX260 camera and am absolutely in love with it. The pictures are excellent quality. I can tell a huge difference between the pictures I take with the Canon PowerShot and my phone. They are all clear and crisp. Almost like professional camera. For a point and shoot this is an excellent camera. As far as battery length, I've been able to go to a concert and take 100 or so pics (I'm crazy) and still have battery left. But for emergencies I was able to buy an additional battery pack (two batteries, charger and screen protector) for cheap to have with me. My only complaint about the camera is some of the settings are weird. They are named small/large, etc... instead of how many megapixels there are. I really wish it would tell me megapixels in the settings. We also use this model digital camera at work and it has never failed us. This is my second Canon camera and most of my family has Canons. I think I am a Canon girl for life!

Comments about Canon PowerShot SX260:

This is by far the number one camera to buy. It takes the most perfect stillest shot. It can be somebody jumping in the air to the most smallest bug in the world and this camera has the best pixels to prove it. Takes long videos, and has great editing features. Wonderful also for transferring to the computer and television.

Great Compact Camera at a low price!

By

from USA

Comments about Canon PowerShot SX260:

This camera is a great buy for a leisure photographer. It is a great price and has good optical zoom and resolution. There are tons of features that a more experienced photographer will probably use, but for me, the auto-setting is about all that I need and it works great.

Image Quality
I haven't had any issues with image quality, although there is still some blur when using flash and there's movement. My last camera didn't blur if there was flash but it's a small thing.

Performance
Battery Life could be a little longer but other than that, there are no issues with the performance.

Ease of Use
Extremely simple to set up and use. Just turn it on, set the date and time, and start taking pictures!

Durability
I haven't dropped it or tested the durability in any way, but from the feel of the camera, I can't imagine there would be any issues.

Battery Life
As mentioned in the Performance section, the battery life is average. It could be longer but still lasts more than long enough for my purposes.

Portability
The camera is compact and lightweight- perfect for someone who takes quick snapshots and family pictures who likes to have the camera around for use at any time.

Great all in one point and shoot for travelling

By

from Rochester, NY

Comments about Canon PowerShot SX260:

This is my second Canon camera and with so many other digital camera choices out there, that is stating something. I am happy with the Canon brand and its features.
If you are looking for a great all-in-one camera for traveling, the outdoors, or for just everyday use, the Canon PowerShot SX260 is the one.
What I love most about this camera is the HD video recording and the high image quality. Being able to record HD video while zooming has allowed me to pretty much replace my camcorder for most occasions. The 20X zoom is quiet enough that the sound does not get picked up while recording. I love being able to zoom in on those wildlife shots, even though I'm over 100 feet away! Where this camera really shines is the image quality. I take a lot of outdoor/nature scenes, the color and detail is outstanding! The battery life is surprisingly good, and though I purchased another battery, I usually can take hundreds of shots and don't have to swap in a fresh one. It's a little bigger than the those sub compact cameras, but still small enough to fit in your pocket.

Next time you are deciding through endless camera choices, give the Canon PowerShot SX260 a try. You will not be disappointed!

Image Quality
Excellent! This camera really shines with outdoor photography

Durability
The Canon PowerShot SX260 feels solid!

Battery Life
A few hundred shots between battery changes or charges!

Portability
Not as small as some, but should easily fit in your shirt pocket or jacket.

Won't Be Disappointed

By

from Chicago, IL

Comments about Canon PowerShot SX260:

The Canon SX260 is a camera that won't disappoint you. It has a sleek design, comes in different cool colors and is a great camera. The pictures are clear; and it captures great photos consecutively and a good rate of speed. With other cameras, you may be missing shots, but with this one it recovers quickly between shots to allow you to take the next one quickly. You'll have to be careful with it carrying it, so it doesn't come into contact with hard surfaces, but as long as you keep it in a camera case or something to cushion it; it is pretty durable. I highly recommend this camera and did comparisons between the different brands and models, so if you're looking to capture those shots with a fast shutter speed; it's one of the tops, so you won't have to be trying to catch it again.
