I really love the zoom lens on this camera. I mainly use the auto setting. The pop-up flash bugged me at first because of where it is. I used to close it accidentially when I was holding the camera, but I am used to it now so it is no longer as issue. The battery life is excellent, even when shooting video. My only issue with this camera is less than stellar picture quality in low light settings. Other than that, I feel it is the best compact point and shoot available, especially with the 14X zoom!

After loosing my digital camera, I was in a panic! Having a little one in the house, I couldn't live without my camera. I did my research and decided to switch brands to a Canon. I was previously loyal to Olympus cameras, but after doing my homework I decided to switch; and what a GREAT switch it has been. The Canon xs210 has been the best point and shoot camera that I have owned. From day one when I brought it home and started playing with it, I have not taken a bad picture. The "Auto" function on the camera is so nice an easy, and yet still provides a picture that is worth sending to the family. What is really nice about the Canon xs210 is that it also gives me the option to control the aperture, focus and shutter speed. As a novice, I like having the ability to control these things to help better my picture taking skills. My one complaint is about the flash. I like the fact that I can close it whenever I am outside and want to control the light; however, the flash's placement is very inconvenient. I feel that it is in the way when I am trying to take pictures. But to me, it is a little thing when I am getting the quality of pictures that this camera provides.

 Canon - PowerShot SX210 IS Digital Camera provides nice image.  It is very small. This compact camera has very nice video quality, very nice image quality,  fast operation, Solid build, Easy to use with f2.8 lens at wide angle.  It has a very very sleek design and really nice black color to it, would recommend for any beginner digital photographer! Very small in size but i have small and its suits me very well, picture quality and video quality are superb!!! Highly recommend for the price!. The photos taken by this camera have sharp images, mostly bright colors. The camera size is just right; it is not as thin as a credit card though. Always wrap the strap around your wrist or you will probably drop the camera; it is very smooth. Read the directions to get the most out of your camera. The camera's body feels solid.  I strongly recommend buying this as a first camera or use it as professional.

i would definitely recommend this camera to anyone looking for a point and shoot camera!  The camera takes great, clear pictures.  The settings are a little hard to get the hang of, but once you do, you're good to go. I know a lot of people these days are going for the more complicated, expensive cameras.  While those are great for professional looking shots, they are bulky and heavy to carry around.  The Canon PowerShot offers quality, while giving you a lightweight, easy to use camera that still gives you great pictures!  We've taken this camera on several trips and it has held up great to wear and tear.  The only complaints I really have are that it doesn't capture motion extremely well. A lot of my pictures seem to end up blurry if there is any movement going on.  Additionally, I find that the camera does not adjust well to lighting in a room.  Even with a flash, it seems hard to get a good picture at times in a room with "regular" lighting.  Overall, though, I would recommend this camera to anyone.

The **Canon - PowerShot SX210 IS Digital Camera **is a great camera. I purchased this camera a couple of months ago. I wanted to purchase the **Canon - PowerShot SX210 IS Digital Camera **to replace my Canon - PowerShot S5 IS Digital Camera. I love my Canon PowerShot s5 IS Digital Camera but we had a vacation to Florida to see Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and the Kennedy Space Center as well as going to see the ocean. Anyways, I wanted a camera that could easily fit into a pocket since we would be going on a lot of rides and stuff. I hated to give up the big zoom in my Canon S5IS and was so happy when I found this compact Canon camera which still had a great zoom. I didn't know you could get a small camera with such a large zoom. This camera worked great. The only complaint I have so far is taking action pictures. It is too slow, but I'm sure if I read through the options there is a way to set it to get a quicker shutter speed. Otherwise, love this camera so far and it worked great for our vacation!!!

I love almost everything about this camera...My main camera is EOS 50D, but wanted something small and reliable to carry around with me when I didn't feel like lugging the bigger camera. The only thing that I do not like about this camera is you have to be careful where holding it when turning the camera on. First instict is to hold the camera at top and bottom with left hand while turning it on with your right hand, but when doing this your forefinger is right on top of the flash and it will not open unless you are holding the camera differently so the flash is not blocked. Other than that, I would recommend this camera to anyone of any age...it takes great pictures, comes in cool colors, is easy to tote around and video quality is awesome.

I am not a professional photographer, but this camera works great. My husband and I recently purchased it to use on a trip to Hawaii. First of all let me just say that quality is important to me. So I knew that I wanted at least 10x zoom and 10x megapixels. This camera had 14.1megapixels and 14x zoom (very useful in Hawaii where you ca't always get close to your subject). I loved that it was small and could easily fit in your pocket or small purse. The quality of pictures was great too. I have read some reviews where people had problems taking pics indoors. I do not know what this is about. My indoor pics turned ot very clear and nice. The pictures produced are of high quality. The only con that I can think of with this camera is that the flash pops up in the most inconvenient location. It comes up right where your hand is, which is a big pain. You just have to make sure that when you turn on the camera your fingers are out of the way.

I bought a used PowerShot SX210 IS and I love it. I bought it used because of the huge price difference. If it weren't for the great price I got for it then I don't think this camera would have been on my list of cameras to get. My first impression of this camera was it's amazing looking design such as the large lens, protruding flash, and large display screen. The finish of the camera looks great and it is obvious that there is no lack of build quality. I mainly bought this camera because of it's outstanding zoom capability. I wanted something that would zoom up so close that I could see every detail and flaw of a person's face that might be performing on a stage far away. Also, the high-definition recording feature was a huge plus for me as well. The picture quality is absolutely amazing but you do have to keep the camera stable and the figures in the pictures should be stable as well. You may have to adjust some settings but for the most part AUTO or SMART mode works great for a quick snap-shot.

I just got this camera for xmas... I am still experimenting with it. I have not used every single features on it yet. I do like it a lot. My old camera tend to take forever to take a picture, but with this new camera, it can take a picture really quickly as i would like it to. I take care of children so the kids wont hold a pose until you are ready, the camera NEEDS to be ready for them! I was pretty satisified with it. However if i am taking a picture in a theatre or at night time, it comes out blurry. I am still experimenting with it. I had the same problem with my old camera, but this new camera has a lot more new features than my old camera. I just need to play with it to figure out what i need to make it crystal clear at night time. I am positive it is there, but i need to learn how. The guy who sold it to my family kept on saying that this camera was the best on the market at that time and showed us a lot of features it can provide such as snowy days, night time, fireworks, bright day, automatic, shutter speed, and many many more. It can act as automatically camera, or manual camera. It is your choice to pick what you prefer and it will fit right in your pocket than a bulky camera! I am having a lot of fun with it and hope you will! :-)

Overall this is a good camera with decent photo quality and HD video with excellent zooming capability.The manual controls are also fairly accessible. There's dial that controls the on screen menus, and because the operations change in different shooting modes, they aren't printed on the camera, but if you touch the dial, they will appear on screen, and it's very easy to manually set the shutter speed and many other features. Flash is amazingly good for a little camera, at least compared to the other digital camera's I've owned. The design of the camera is very compact, slim and or course cute. The largest complaint I've seen with the camera is that the flash automatically pops up when you turn on the camera, and if your finger is covering the flash, it will keep it from popping up. The LCD screen is bright and colorful and big. It takes up almost the entire back of the camera, which is very nice.
