Most HelpfulI love this camera! I got it a year and a half ago and it is one of my favorite toys. It fits perfectly in my pocket and is so easy to use. I bought a second battery and two flash cards, so I can always have a charged battery and empty card ready to go. The 6.0 megapixel size allows me to crop my...

Most HelpfulA lot of cameras in the crowded and competitive digital point-and-shoot market are all flash and no substance. They add all sorts of extra gimmicks such as fancy slide shows and colorful borders that don't actually contribute to the cameras' pictures. Canon thumbs its nose at that design philosophy with the simple yet functional PowerShot SD600, a 6-megapixel point-and-shoot camera that's light on features but heavy on image quality, performance, and usability. It's simply a great camera for anyone interested in just taking great-looking images.

I got the black one a couple days ago. Perfect size for my hands and really love the sleek design. There are a lot of cool features. I can zoom in and out during video recordings which i love because most cameras can't do that. Night shots are great on this camera too. There's an ISO 3200!
My previous canon, SD1000,was a really good camera, but this one just blows it completely out of the ...
I was given this camera for Christmas about two years ago and I absolutely love it!!! I have not had one single problem with it at all. It takes great pictures that are very good quality. It is small in size and easy to take everywhere I go. The battery life lasts a long time, it is easy to keep charged and has an easy charging system. You just have to place the battery into a charging unit and plug it into an outlet. It is a simple camera that does not have anything too complicated to be able to figure out how to just take a good quality picture. There are features available to be...
read full review »Being a mother of 2 small children, I'm never without my camera. After owning several early, and well, primative models, this past year I was determined to get a good one. I wanted one with a large viewing screen and one that had a function to take pictures in a fast succesion. The Canon Powershot SD 600 has both of those features and more! I love how big the screen is and that it also has video functions. That was another one of my requirements. The best part is the rechargeable battery! I was skeptical at first, but it really does work much better than disposable batteries. Even rechargeable...
read full review »The Canon Powershot SD600 is a great everyday camera which you can take anywhere. I use it to take photos of my crafts, home projects, and travel shots. It's lightweight, portable, easy to use the basic functions. I can take closeups using the micro settings. It's easy to turn the flash on and off. It's easy to download onto my Mac...I use iPhoto to manage my photos. It's a little more difficult to remember the other features that you use less and therefore don't internalize. BUT the capabilities are there...stitching, timer, color picking. You can zoom in and out easily, but only...
read full review »I received the Canon sd600 about 2 years ago as a chrismas gift. The camera has a slick design in silver and black. The 3 inch lcd was great. It has been a great improvement over the smaller lcd that did not allow you to view the picture details as well. For the first year the pictures would come out perfect. The colors would look amazing and the clarity was really nice. The camera gives you the option to change the setting according to where the picture is being taken. This feature is really nice. After a year of using the camera I realized that some of the pictures where coming out blurry. Since...
read full review »This is a great camera. Anyone can use it with no problem. My 6 year old loves to take pictures and can work this very well and has figured out most of the features.
It is much smaller than my previous Sony camera which I also loved but my husband droped. The Cannon was recommended to me by friends and since it was less expensive than the Sony I gave it a shot. Since it is smaller you do have to get used to that "feel" but now it is good.
The lcd screen (I think that is what it is called) is very big for the size of the camera. It is very clear and makes it so easy to get the shot you...
read full review »i love my elph, more since i figured out the manual settings. the auto doesn't always take good shots, and the shutter speed is sometimes slow. i took it with me on a 6 week trip overland from finland to macau. i got some amazing photographs with this camera and didn't have to lug around a big heavy camera. the pocket convenience made up for a lot. sometimes, indoors the camera would blur without flash, but overexpose with flash. tricky. not to mention, flash is not allowed in many museums. i'd recommend using a tripod when possible. also had some problems with animal photography. my panda pictures...
read full review »The Canon PowerShot SD600 has amazing features. You can take photos in black and white, sepia, and many other colors. There are settings for night shots, motion shots, sunny and beach shots, and much more!
It captures amazing video and sound quality, and easily connects to your computer using a USB cord or by removing the SD card from the camera. The battery lasts forever! I used the camera everyday for two weeks and still did not have to recharge it!
It is a great camera to have because it is small enough to carry with you wherever you go: to school or work, to the beach, bowling, etc....
read full review »I just love my Canon PowerShot SD600. I am somewhat electronically challenged and this camera suits me to a "T". It is so simple to operate, has a nice zoom, photos can be reviewed instantly, and I can take as many as I want to get the perfect photo. The card in it is so easy to remove and pop right into my computer to download the photos. Charging the battery is a breeze and the charger is small enough that it's no problem to take along wherever I go.
All in all, I couldn't be happier with any other camera. With my limited ability to use electronics and the simplicity of using my Canon, it's...
read full review »I Love this camera, I got this camera as a christmas gift and have taken it everywhere with me ever since. I've had the camera now for 2 years and never had any problem with it. It is very durable and compact. The 2.5" LCD screen is wonderful and not easily scratched. There are also lots of options to customize your picture such as blk/wht,sophia,night,firework,beach,snow,ect modes. The video mode is also great. The cameras battery last me through out the dayand is easy to charge also comes with a great little compact battery charger. I would recommend this camera to anyone from first time buyers...
read full review »Since I received this as a gift I am unsure of its value for the money paid for it since I didn't buy it. However I have been VERY impressed with how easy it is to use. The screen is large and easy to view (although sometimes grainy but the picture doesn't come out grainy so its no big deal). I have never had a digital camara before but I had no trouble using this, at least in its basic form, I am sure it can do more that I'm still learning about. One of the cons listed was no protection for the screen. I am sure this is an issue with some people but has never been an issue for us. since...
