Most HelpfulThis is a great camera for everyday use, very compact and lightweight. My only complaint is the delay in taking a picture, and also the delay in between taking consecutive pictures. Many perfect moments are lost in those split second delays.
I also wish there were more choices for flash settings....

I admit it, I tend to be one of "those" people. You know the ones who constantly have a camera at what to you may seem like the most dreadful moments. Yet, two weeks later after the picture has circulated, you can laugh out loud about that moment! My friends always thank me later. :)
This camera is my key to success. It's compact, light, easy to use and fits right in my purse or pocket. By comparison, it's about the same size as a deck of cards, maybe smaller. With options for nighttime, manual, indoor, outdoor, even kids (who knew there was a setting for taking pictures of kids!)...
read full review »In 2002 I received the Canon PowerShot camera as a gift . It came with a rechargeable 3.7V battery, and my brother bought me a 2nd battery so I can charge one and use one, and never be without power. Changing the battery is so easy. The size of the camera is wonderful: 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 x1 inch makes it easy to take anywhere. It actually fits in a shirt pocket! It also has a handy wrist strap so I don't have to be bothered with a camera bag. The SD cards come in various sizes, but I prefer the 250mb. The viewfinder is small, but I have had no trouble taking great pictures with this camera. ...
read full review »First off, I'll start with the one downside to this product: its battery life --- although not too short, it will only last for about 200 pics or maybe 75 vids.
But other than that, the image and video qualities are incredible! It has the most speedy and easy-to-use functionality of any <7 megapixel camera i've ever used, and its modes are simple and versatile: especially the night mode, which makes fireworks come out great, and also can grab the background images in a dark setting --- which is almost nonexistent with other brands.
For anyone who needs a fairly inexpensive and top-of-the-line digital...

While our technology choices are often so specialized and subjective--because of different preferences, monetary constraints, lifestyle pace, etc--I feel like this is one product that would appease even the pickiest of picture takers as it is SO easy to use!!
I didn't even have to read the instruction manual to start immediately taking and previewing my pictures!
Besides its ease-of-use, it's light-weight, compact, sturdy, and slips into a purse or pocket so that you--truly--never have to leave home...

read full review »I have owned a Canon SD400 for close to four years now and could never have asked for a better camera. Not only is the size perfect because it is compact enough so that you can put it in your pocket, purse or any small space but it is so easy to use. The features are outstanding. There are special digital micro settings, black and white settings, sephia setting and my favorite is a feature you can use to pick one color and when you take a photo it only creates that color and the rest of the image is in black and white. This feature is amazing for anyone who is looking to take there photography...

the Canon sd400 is a great point and shoot digital camera!!
i have had it for four plus years and it is still working very well!! It was my second digital camera i have ever purchased and i did not even have to read the manual because it is so easy to use. There are also a lot of cool functions on there such as the color option where u select a color and only that color will show up and everything else is black and white which is pretty cool. i travel a lot so i take lots of photographs of scenery. it works great for being a simple point and shoot camera. however, it does not take great night pictures...

I have not had good luck with cameras lately, this being my third one in about 2 years. I am certain that I have finally found something that will work for me. The small size makes it very easy to carry in my pocket, the large screen on the back is great, and the speed it uploads onto my computer is the best I have seen yet. I also like all of the little extras that are on the camera. My youngest daughter really enjoys the paint option. I have also found the slideshow option to be very handy when I am sharing pictures with others. The background music adds a little extra fun to it. ...
