Canon - PowerShot SD1000 Digital Camera —

Got a good deal on this camera online.  Some reseller through eBay.  I thought the Canon SD800 had a lot of features I didn't need, and the price tag was at least $50 more.  Went with the SD1000 and have been VERY happy.

The style is very cool, with Canon going back to it's original boxy Elph design.  The LCD screen is big, but there is still a viewfinder.  This is good for really sunny days outside where there's a glare off the screen, or if you want to conserve battery life.  And that is important since battery life is the biggest drawback.  Would recommend buying an extra battery.

Pictures have turned out very well, though I'm just a point-and-click sort of guy.  I would recommend Picasa over the Canon software that comes with the camera.  Such a small camera, and the belt holder means you can have it with you virtually all the time.  My hands are pretty big, and I don't find the buttons to hard to deal with.  Great buy!
