Great point and click with some manual options!

somewhat tech savvy

Pros

Sturdy!, Can accomodate a 4gb memory card, image stabilization works well, fully manual mode, pocket sized, Has accent color mode - rest is BW, Easy to use, fast click-to-capture, Can take movies

Cons

NOT PROFESSIONAL BUT CLOSE TO IT, small buttons can be hard to manipulate, plugging it in doesn't fire up iPhoto, Manual not fully manual

Canon - PowerShot SD 850 IS Digital Camera —

I have always loved Canon for digital cameras. This is my second camera and I like that it is small enough to take anywhere. The picture quality is outstanding especially for outdoor pictures.

There is also a manual option to adjust shutter speed and light. For those that do not like manual, there is a screen option that has preset aperture and shutter speeds for action shots, night shots, indoor, fireworks, etc.

If you enjoy ease of use, quality pictures, rechargeable long lasting battery, and small size, this is the camera for you!
