Canon - PowerShot S5 IS Digital Camera —
We work our cameras hard. They travel far and wide with us, and we demand alot, trying to capture memories of bike races, busy kids, nature and just everyday life.
The Canon Powershot S5 was a quick choice to replace our old camera when it died. I read a few positive reviews and it fit the budget. I'm VERY pleased with our choice.
- There are lots of settings to capture moments in all different lights. Thus far, I've found they work pretty well.
- The video is amazing. High resolution, up to 30 minutes (4 GB). Who needs a separate video camera if you've got a digital camera that does that much?
- You can take still pictures while taking a video. It *does* stop the video for a second, which is annoying.
- The LCD monitor is very clear, and easy to use.
- The camera feels very good in your hands.
- Takes quick pictures, and I've been really pleased to be capturing more of the brief photo-worthy moments of my kids.
We're only a month into this camera, but I couldn't be happier. We paid $330 for it, and it's been worth every penny. Only problem is that we're taking so many pictures, we're going to need a new hard drive to store all the files!
