loving my digital camera, willing to pay for quality, impressed with this product
I only wish that I had gotten this camera sooner! I have never had a Canon before, but had heard of their quality, and they are as good or better than I could have imagined. The A710 IS is a high quality, well rounded camera, that is even easy to use. This is not a super-slim camera(3.75x2.5x1.5 inches), which I love, so that there is something to hold onto. It is a little heavier than I like though. — The LCD screen is big, so you can really see if you have gotten a good shot or…

This is a great little camera with a big plus for the image stabilization. I love the camera's awesome images with one minor exception: nasty red eye! Yes, I have it set to adjust for red eye with the preflash, but often times that really doesn't have much of an impact. I was told by a professional photographer the problem is in the camera's design. From what he said, the flash is too close to the lens so that it cannot adjust fast enough to account for the red eye. I am CONSTANTLY editing pictures to take out the red eye. Needless to say, I hate that…

I got this camera as a xmas gift, it's really nice, easy to use, take great pictures, it has many different mode you can use, it way cooler than my first sony cybershot. It gives you the option to fix red eye right after you take the picture. I love it, and for my boyfriend's birthday i got him one of the same. — And also the price is excellent —…

Features are similar to those of the PowerShot A700, another camera in Canon's line. Standouts include controls for manual exposure and aperture and shutter priority, as well as flash compensation, which lets you roll back flash output power, and second-curtain flash, which fires the flash as the shutter closes so that moving objects don't end up with trails in front of them when you're using the flash. This happens a lot when shooting cars at night; with second-curtain flash, the headlights end up with slight trails behind them instead of looking like laser beams. Of course, if you like the…

This camera has great zoom in a decent size package. It is not too small and hard to hold like some of those newer cameras and it has a 6X zoom which is double what most cameras have in a smaller package. The picture quality is excellent. It is pretty quick between picture taking. The IS is perfect for moving objects or sports photos. Easy to use. I took it to a concert and was able to zoom in far closer than any of my friends - they all wanted my pictures! The rechargeable AA batteries last a really long time if you get the 2500mah or higher…

a gadget geek, nature lover, an amateur photographer, attached to my camera, technically savvy, intermediate-user, loving my digital camera, Every day computer user
I have had this camera for almost a full year and LOVE IT. The A710 IS takes great pictures in all conditions left in fully automatic mode, and can be fine tuned with full manual controls. The only con is that the camera is very slow taking pictures while using the flash, but this is only because it takes 2 AA batteries instead of 4. — This camera is perfect for any beginner to intermediate photographer. It is extremely simple to use and takes pictures very quickly. —…

will pay for quality, very happy with this product, an amateur photographer, practical
My first foray into digital photography. I'm a 35 mm camera user from way back, and wasn't thrilled about going digital. I read lots of reviews and chose the Canon based on reviews claiming ease of use, 6x Zoom and image stabilizer. So glad I did! I would absolutely recommend this one. Like all digitals, I hear, you need to upgrade the memory card, especially if you use the video option, but that's no biggie at all. I also like the Canon Website for support and downloads.…

We bought this camera when our second child was born. It was an upgrade for a lessor Canan camera. I love the ease of use with this camera. The delay when using the flash is sometimes really long. I haven't quite figured out why it's longer at certain times and pretty fast at others. I love the big LCD screen. I love that I can take 2+ minute vidoe clips of my kids. …

This is my first camera. I didnt know much about them but this one is very easy to use. It only took my a few hours to utilize all the cool features. I love the timer setting to take neat photos of my boyfriend and me. I would usually give up trying to figure out all this electronic stuff and just let someone else take the photo but now I can do it myself with out help from…
