This camera has great zoom in a decent size package.  It is not too small and hard to hold like some of those newer cameras and it has a 6X zoom which is double what most cameras have in a smaller package.  The picture quality is excellent.  It is pretty quick between picture taking.  The IS is perfect for moving objects or sports photos.  Easy to use.  I took it to a concert and was able to zoom in far closer than any of my friends - they all wanted my pictures!  The rechargeable AA batteries last a really long time if you get the 2500mah or higher ones.
