Canon PowerShot A630 Digital Camera —

I have had several digital cameras and the Canon PowerShot A630 8 Mega-Pixel digital camera is the best one I have ever owned.  It's a step above the 500 series Canon digital cameras.  Pay a little more and you get better pixel resolution and more features. It has so many of the bells and wistles that a novice such as myself would want and the monitor walks one through using them. I tried the stitch mode for a panarama of the volcano in Maui (sorry can't spell the name) and the stitched photo came out great. The night mode worked really well for sunsets etc. My only negative is that the book could do a little better in explaination for example how to use the focus points. I have been looking for a more detailed book but so far no luck. I absolutely recommend this especially for novice. Pros: - Easy to use - Manual Controls - Great shots - Affordable Price Cons: - Focussing takes time - Zoomed in shots are sometimes blurry or grainy - Flash based pics are good but not exceptional - Battery life is the usual.
